Beau’s landlord is renting her basement suite for the first-time ever on a one-year lease. After reviewing the Residential Tenancy Act, she is happy to find out that landlords have the right to conduct monthly inspections. Beau’s landlord decides that she would like to inspect Beau’s unit on the 1st day of every month, and gives him 12 separate written notices to cover the full year of his lease. Beau’s landlord is allowed to do this because she is providing at least 24 hours’ notice in writing for each of the monthly inspections.
